Job summary

Lycopodium Philippines is currently recruiting a Senior Mechanical Designer to join our growing Mechanical Design team in Manila.

Be proficient in AutoCAD and MicroStation, producing mechanical designs in line with project and regulatory standards, while mentoring teammates and contributing to project deliverables.

Qualifications

• University Degree in Engineering Design Drafting or 8+ years’ experience in a similar role with relevant industry experience.
• Sound understanding of fabrication and construction techniques in the materials handling industry.
• Proficiency in the design layout and detailing of materials handling and process plants (full plant layout experience is key).
• Experience in gold, base metals and iron ore is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Be proficient in AutoCAD and MicroStation software, complying with the necessary Company and project procedures.
• Produce mechanical designs in accordance with Project, Client and regulatory standards.
• Follow and implement all relevant Company standards and procedures and ensure design drawings comply with all relevant Australian and International Standards.
• Ensure the correct use of project defined standard design details and notes are used in the production of project design drawings.
• Contribute to the team's professional development by providing consistent mentoring and identify avenues of development.
• Proactively support other team members as required to ensure Project deliverables are met.
• Ensure a high level of communication is attained within the design team.
• Provide leadership, guidance and direction to the design team as required.
