Job summary

Lycopodium Philippines is seeking a Senior Structural Designer to join our Manila-based Structural Design team. You will lead design activities, ensuring compliance with project and regulatory standards, while mentoring junior designers.

Proven expertise in AutoCAD and MicroStation is essential, with experience in process plant environments preferred. The role emphasizes collaboration, data sharing, and delivering high-quality structural designs.

Qualifications

• University Degree in Engineering Design Drafting or 8+ years’ industry experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Understanding of fabrication and construction techniques in chemical, pharma or refinery plants.
• Experience in gold, base metals and iron ore is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Produce structural designs in accordance with project, client and regulatory standards.
• Provide technical advice and support on planning and design processes.
• Disseminate project design data to team members in a timely manner.
• Mentor and support the design team’s professional development.
• Support other team members to meet project deliverables.
• Maintain high levels of communication within the design team.
• Provide leadership and direction to the design team as required.

Lycopodium Philippines is currently recruiting for a Senior Structural Designer to join our growing Structural Design team in Manila.

The tasks you'll perform

• Be proficient in all aspects of AutoCAD and MicroStation software, complying with the necessary Company and project procedures.
• Produce structural designs that are in accordance with Project, Client and regulatory standards.
• Provide technical advice and support on planning and design process.
• Ensure project design data within your area of work is disseminated to other project team members in an efficient and timely manner.
• Contribute to the team's professional development by providing consistent mentoring and identify avenues of development.
• Proactively support other team members as required to ensure Project deliverables are met.
• Ensure a high level of communication is attained within the design team.
• Provide leadership, guidance and direction to the design team as required.
