Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor in Tanauan City, Batangas, Philippines to lead a team of Mfg-Engineering professionals and support new product development for lavs 3.0 deployment.

The role collaborates with Product Engineering, Design Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and Operations to ensure manufacturability, DFMA reviews, and robust processes while driving safety, quality, productivity and cost targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Product Engineering, Process Engineering, or New Product Introduction within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in design for manufacture and assembly (DFMA) principles.
• Experience in process development, prototype builds, manufacturing process design, tooling, fixtures, and equipment validation.
• Familiarity with manufacturing documentation (Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plans, Work Instructions, SOPs).
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, or similar methods.

Responsibilities

• Supervise team of Mfg-Engineering professionals to support new product development for lavs 3.0 deployment.
• Plans and sets day-to-day goals and objectives for a team and solves complex problems to support the business.
• Collaborate with Product Engineering, Design Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations to ensure manufacturing requirements are incorporated during product development.
• Conduct DFMA reviews and provide recommendations to optimize manufacturability, assembly efficiency, quality, and cost.
• Develop and validate manufacturing processes, work instructions, process flows, and SOPs.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute prototype builds, pilot runs, and engineering trials to validate manufacturing capability.
• Design and improve manufacturing processes to meet safety, quality, productivity, and cost targets.
