Job summary

London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) invites applications for a Manager-level Market Supervision role to oversee overnight and cross-time-zone supervision of LSE’s extended trading model. You will supervise live activity, manage halts and disorderly trading events, and interact with member firms and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance and operational readiness.

Essential experience includes market supervision, regulatory knowledge (MiFID/MIFIR/MAR), and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience required.
• Experience in market supervision, trading venue operations, compliance, risk, front-office trading, surveillance, exchange operations or a similar regulated financial markets environment.
• Strong understanding of secondary market trading, market structure, trading rules, order and trade lifecycle, and venue control frameworks.
• Experience managing or escalating live market events such as trading halts, disorderly trading conditions, trade cancellations, technical incidents or participant issues.
• Knowledge of UK/EU regulatory framework (MiFID, MiFIR, MAR).
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage workflow in time-critical situations.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead real-time and post-trade supervision of market activity and oversee market quality and participant activity.
• Serve as senior Market Supervision presence during non-UK hours, managing halts and market events.
• Develop and test procedures, playbooks, and escalation paths for overnight supervision.
• Provide input on surveillance coverage, controls calibration, and incident handling.
• Support readiness activities for launch, including scenario testing and incident simulations.
• Interact with member firms and market participants on supervisory matters.
• Investigate unusual trading patterns and prepare internal/regulatory materials.
• Contribute to expansion planning for overnight/extended-hours supervision.
