Job summary

Jobgether and our partner are seeking a senior Linux Platform Engineer based in Mexico to own and evolve enterprise Linux platforms across on‑prem and cloud environments. You will shape platform strategy, automation, security, reliability, and lifecycle management at scale.

You will lead IaC, automation, observability, and DevOps practices, partnering with cross‑functional teams to deliver end‑to‑end platform initiatives, incidents, and migrations, while mentoring others and driving

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in IT.
• 8+ years engineering Linux platforms in enterprise settings.
• Deep expertise in SUSE/RHEL across large-scale deployments.
• Strong scripting (Bash/Python) and IaC experience.
• Automation and IaC with Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, or equivalents.
• VMware vSphere proficiency and virtualization knowledge.
• Networking fundamentals and enterprise storage integration.
• Security hardening, patching, and compliance experience.
• Cloud exposure (AWS/Azure/GCP) and DevOps practices.
• RHCE/LPIC-3 or equal certifications desirable.

Responsibilities

• Own the enterprise Linux platform roadmap and lifecycle management.
• Define engineering standards, build patterns, and reliability practices.
• Design scalable Linux solutions across on‑prem and cloud.
• Lead architecture discussions and technical reviews for Linux platforms.
• Drive automation and IaC adoption with Ansible, Terraform, and Python.
• Lead incident response, root-cause analysis, and permanent fixes.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver complex initiatives.
• Mentor engineers and raise platform engineering maturity.
