Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Data) based in Mexico. You will join a lean, autonomous engineering team building products to help organizations understand and optimize cloud data costs, designing and delivering capabilities across backend systems, data engineering, visualization, and cost-management workflows.

You will have ownership, influence on technical direction and roadmaps, and collaborate with experienced engineers and founding team

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Strong backend and data engineering expertise.
• Proficiency with Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, dbt, Dagster, Snowflake.
• Ability to design scalable, reliable technical solutions.
• Excellent written and spoken English; distributed work experience.
• Experience building data pipelines and data-driven product capabilities.
• Strong problem solving, analytical skills, and ownership.

Responsibilities

• Design and build new data cost management capabilities (forecasting, anomaly detection, cost allocation, workflows).
• Develop reliable backend and data-engineering solutions that surface actionable insights for customers.
• Build data pipelines and transformation models to support new product capabilities.
• Create and improve data visualization features communicating performance and efficiency.
• Develop reusable UI components for a smooth product experience.
• Improve application reliability, scalability, and performance through thoughtful engineering.
• Own features end to end from concept through release.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders through documentation, reviews, testing and communication.
• Contribute to a culture of pragmatic execution and high engineering quality.
