Job summary

TP ICAP is seeking a Senior Linux/Unix Engineer in Manila with strong Red Hat and SUSE expertise to manage physical, virtual and cloud servers. The role supports the global Linux team, requires ITIL practices, and includes mid-shift responsibilities with JScape support.

The ideal candidate will have solid Linux knowledge, experience in financial services environments, and strong scripting (Bash/Ansible) skills. Collaboration and documentation are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience in Linux server administration with Red Hat and SUSE.
• Experience with production Unix/Linux infrastructure in financial services.
• Experience with virtualization and AWS workloads.
• Proficient in Bash scripting and Ansible.
• Security-focused and able to harden servers.
• Familiarity with ITIL and ServiceNow.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for the Unix Server Infrastructure (OS and Hardware), including day-to-day administration, incident response and remediation, and implementation of new technologies.
• Carry out Requests and Tasks as per ITIL standard requirements.
• Provide solutions and root cause analysis of system performance and failure-related issues.
• Work on projects and collaborate with project teams for smooth transitions of new servers and software tools into Production.
• Collaborate with management and IT colleagues to review and improve the Linux infrastructure and estate.
• Establish and maintain best practices, processes and procedures to underpin operations.
• Create and maintain full system documentation including DR documentation.
• Continuously look for ways to improve infrastructure for faster and more efficient environments.
• Maintain operational health of systems and support Applications and Users dependent on infrastructure.
• Drive standards and document reference architecture to meet business objectives.
• Support core file transfer system (JScape) for incidents and requests.
