Job summary

Cloud Bridge is seeking a seasoned Unix/Linux engineer to manage a large-scale Red Hat and SUSE Linux estate across physical, virtual, and cloud environments. The role is a hybrid set-up in BGC, Taguig, Philippines.

You will provide hands-on technical support, drive infrastructure improvements, and collaborate closely with project and operations teams—ideally within a financial services setting. Strong scripting, virtualization, and security focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Expert-level Linux knowledge (Red Hat and SUSE MLM) with server/storage architecture in financial services.
• Extensive experience supporting Unix/Linux infrastructure at scale.
• Strong virtualization experience.
• AWS server workload management experience.
• Bash scripting and/or Ansible proficiency.
• Security-focused mindset (hardening, vulnerability prevention).
• Solid TCP/IP networking knowledge.
• Proven mentoring experience with technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Excellent communication, decision-making, and organisational skills.
• Collaborative, self-motivated, and service-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Unix/Linux server infrastructure (OS and hardware), including incident response and remediation.
• Deliver root cause analysis and solutions for performance and failure issues.
• Collaborate with project teams to transition new servers, tools, and initiatives into production.
• Review and improve the Linux estate's effectiveness, standards, and documentation (including DR).
• Support the company's core file transfer system (JScape).
• Drive reference architecture and best practices to meet current and future business needs.

Join our Client's Global Linux Team to support and manage a large-scale Red Hat Linux estate across physical, virtual, and cloud environments.
