Job summary

Home Credit Philippines is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer focused on Linux to support enterprise operations, maintain system uptime, and manage infrastructure services. You will provision, patch, configure, deploy, and monitor Unix/Linux systems, and provide escalation support to ensure reliable IT services.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a Linux System Administrator role.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a System Administrator.
• Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware in a networked environment.
• Linux Operating Systems support experience.
• Linux Workstation and Server management experience.
• Understanding of remediating security vulnerabilities; experience hardening Red Hat, Oracle Linux, or other Opensource Systems
• Knowledgeable in Scripting
• Understanding on network concept and protocols
• Knowledge of environmental monitoring tools (Nagios, Splunk, Zabbix, SolarWinds)
• Knowledgeable cloud environment AWS and Azure.
• Knowledgeable VMware and ESXi configuration and management experience.

Responsibilities

• Provisioning, OS patches/updates, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software.
• Administers and maintains a Unix/Linux-based server network, with physical and virtual servers.
• Participates in technical R&D to enable innovation within the infrastructure.
• Installs, configures, troubleshoots, and maintains server-based applications running on the network including Unix/Linux Services AD\LDAP.
• Perform daily system monitoring, verify integrity and availability of hardware, resources, processes, backups.
• Assist to create, configure, and deploy virtual machines and install and provide backup to configuration procedures.
• Providing overall direction for Linux system performance and enhancements.
• Perform tests on new software and maintain patches for management services.
• Develops scripts and utilities for user access management and remote peripherals customization.
• Serve as 1st/2nd level escalation support for operational systems.
• Train and mentor other team members on deployments.
• Maintain system efficiency and monitoring equipment.
• Provide Tier II support with IT groups and troubleshoot issues.
