Job summary

MTerra Solar is seeking a Legal Business Partner to lead all legal, regulatory, and compliance functions within the renewable energy sector. The role focuses on supporting business growth while protecting the company’s legal and ethical interests, across contracts, governance, and risk management.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in infrastructure/energy law, with a track record in managing legal teams and interacting with regulators and authorities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10–15 years of relevant legal experience.
• Renewable energy, infrastructure, power, or EPC sector background preferred.
• Experience with regulatory compliance and corporate governance.

Responsibilities

• Act as principal legal advisor to senior management and compliance matters.
• Develop and implement the company’s legal strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and regulatory risks across projects and operations.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage contracts including EPC, PPAs, land/lease, O&M, and supplier agreements.
• Oversee corporate secretarial functions, board meetings, resolutions, and statutory filings.
• Liaise with regulators, government authorities, and external counsel as required.
• Manage litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution matters; coordinate with external counsel.
