Job summary

Renova is seeking a Project Legal Manager to join its Manila office. The successful candidate will provide legal support for renewable energy projects in the Philippines, working closely with Development, Finance, Engineering, and other business teams.

This role offers exposure to live renewable energy projects, structured onboarding, and collaboration with senior professionals in Tokyo and Manila to negotiate complex contracts and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Approximately 5 years of practical experience in renewable energy industry.
• Experience in contract drafting and execution with risk identification.
• Proactive attitude to engage with people and raise issues.
• Ability to extract legal risks, conduct interviews, and explain to others.
• Interest in business areas and alignment with mission.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate project-related contracts (Shareholders' Agreements, Land Use Agreements, EPC, O&M, and Project Finance Agreements).
• Provide legal advice on project development, business plans, and commercial risks.
• Manage legal disputes and recommend practical legal solutions.
• Handle corporate legal matters and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Prepare legal reports and support management decision-making.
