Job Description

The Leasing Manager will oversee the growth and performance of the retail leasing portfolio by attracting the right brands, strengthening tenant relationships, and maximizing the commercial potential of available spaces. The role will be responsible for developing leasing plans, generating new business opportunities, negotiating agreements, and supporting long-term portfolio growth.

Key Responsibilities

Leasing Planning & Portfolio Management

• Formulate leasing plans based on business goals, market conditions, and available spaces.
• Evaluate space requirements and recommend suitable tenant concepts.
• Maintain a balanced and commercially viable tenant portfolio.

Business Development & Tenant Sourcing

• Generate new leasing opportunities through active market engagement.
• Build a consistent pipeline of qualified tenant prospects.
• Source established brands, growing businesses, and emerging retail concepts.

Deal Structuring & Negotiations

• Manage commercial discussions with prospective and existing tenants.
• Negotiate rental rates, lease conditions, incentives, and other business terms.
• Evaluate proposed deals based on financial and strategic considerations.

Retail Market Development

• Track new brands, market entrants, business expansions, and emerging concepts.
• Analyze competitor activities, rental movements, and market opportunities.
• Identify potential tenant categories that can strengthen the overall portfolio.

Tenant Relations & Retention

• Build productive relationships with key tenants and business partners.
• Manage lease renewal discussions and retention initiatives.
• Understand tenant concerns, business needs, and expansion plans.

Team Management

• Provide direction and support to the leasing team in achieving business targets.
• Assign priorities and monitor progress across leasing activities.
• Coach team members on prospecting, presentations, negotiations, and closing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Real Estate, Management, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of experience in retail or commercial leasing.
• Background in managing leasing portfolios and commercial spaces.
• Experience in sourcing and onboarding new tenants.
• Strong exposure to commercial negotiations and deal closing.
• Good understanding of retail concepts and market dynamics.
• Established relationships within the retail, F&B, lifestyle, or commercial sectors.
• Track record of delivering leasing, occupancy, or revenue objectives.
• Experience supervising or leading a team is preferred.
• Strong business development and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation abilities.
