Job summary

Home Credit Philippines IT Senior Java Developer will design, build, and maintain scalable financial systems supporting core operations. You will develop new software to meet business needs, monitor deployed apps, and prepare development documentation.

The role requires 5+ years in Java, strong Spring Framework and Spring Boot, microservices, and database experience (MySQL/Oracle/PostgreSQL). Collaboration with analysts, QA, DevOps, and international offices is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Java developer.
• Experience in financial services is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
• Experience with microservices architecture and Java generics.
• Proficient Java with core to advanced features.
• Experience with Git/version control systems.
• Experience with databases such as MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of Lambda expressions and microservice patterns.
• Familiarity with messaging systems (JMS, RabbitMQ, Kafka) and big data (Hadoop).

Responsibilities

• Development of new software to meet business requirements
• Monitoring and configuration of deployed applications
• Maintenance of deployed applications according to necessary changes
• Preparation of development documentation, engagement in operation manuals and training materials as needed
• Perform software techniques such as test driven development in delivering and maintaining working software
• Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, QA/application specialists and DevOps and other IT functions
• May train/mentor junior staff & lead teams or projects with broad visibility
