Job summary

V2 Solutions is seeking a Senior Java Engineer to join our backend team in the Philippines. You will design, build, and maintain a high-performance accounting and finance platform using Java/Spring Boot, GraphQL, and REST APIs.

You will collaborate with Product, Frontend, and DevOps to ensure scalable, secure, and robust solutions, while addressing performance bottlenecks and driving engineering best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience in building highly scalable, high-performance applications.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot, API-first design using GraphQL and REST.
• Strong understanding of software design patterns and microservices architecture.
• Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL databases (Redis/MongoDB/Cassandra).
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (Lambda, EC2, ECS, S3, RDS).
• Familiarity with serverless architectures and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS/SNS/Kinesis).
• Experience with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes; security and encryption practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills; excellent collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain a scalable accounting/finance backend platform.
• Develop API-first solutions using Java/Spring Boot (GraphQL & REST).
• Collaborate with Product, Frontend, and DevOps teams to ensure scalable, extensible systems.
• Address performance bottlenecks and ensure high-quality user experiences.
• Participate in solution design, code reviews, and promote engineering best practices.
