Job summary

RELX International is seeking an accomplished Senior Systems Engineer to lead a team responsible for Windows infrastructure, AD/Entra ID, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure). The role focuses on delivering secure, reliable enterprise services and overseeing Microsoft 365 environments while driving automation and modernization initiatives.

You will manage operations, mentor staff, and coordinate with cross-functional groups to meet business goals, including on-call support and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 10–12 years of systems or infrastructure engineering.
• 3–5 years in leadership or people management.
• Strong knowledge of Windows servers, AD, DNS, DHCP.
• Experience with Entra ID/Active Directory and cloud (AWS/Azure).
• Experience managing Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams).
• Familiarity with incident/service request/change management and major incident handling.
• Advanced understanding of system and problem management tools.
• Experience in system installation and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of virtual servers and thin clients.
• Scripting for automation and system recovery procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead the systems engineering team to deliver reliable performance.
• Oversee staff training and provide frequent feedback and coaching.
• Coordinate with development, support, and vendors to meet deadlines.
• Support daily operations and proactive system monitoring and reporting.
• Diagnose performance problems and optimize system parameters.
• Develop and implement security programs and measures.
• Participate in on-call rotations and after-hours support.
• Provide prompt recovery and problem escalation when needed.
• Manage projects across multiple departments and prioritize tasks.
• Drive continuous improvements and innovations with staff input.
• Ensure staff have resources to meet performance goals.
