Job summary

SM Development Corporation in Metro Manila Pasay seeks a Senior Geodetic Engineer to lead land surveying, layout, and development surveys for multiple projects. You will oversee reconnaissance, layout, and verification of road networks, boundaries, utilities, and housing units in line with masterplans.

The role requires a Bachelor of Science in Geodetic Engineering, a Licensed Geodetic Engineer, and at least 10 years in surveying with 5 years in management.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor of Science in Geodetic Engineering from a reputable institution.
• Must be a Licensed Geodetic Engineer.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in surveying, land development, real estate, infrastructure, or construction projects.
• Minimum 5 years of managerial experience leading survey operations and technical teams.
• Extensive knowledge of land surveying principles, geodetic engineering practices, and land development processes.
• Proficiency with survey instruments and related technologies.

Responsibilities

• Leads reconnaissance, relocation, topographic, parcellary, and as-built surveys for land acquisition and project development.
• Reviews and approves survey plans, reports, computations, and outputs for accuracy and compliance.
• Directs layout and verification of road networks, property boundaries, utilities, facilities, and housing units.
• Oversees layout of infrastructure requirements including Meralco pole locations and drainage systems.
• Supervises layout of boreholes, test pits, and geotechnical investigation points.
• Provides technical recommendations on land development and site conditions.
• Coordinates with government agencies, contractors, consultants, utilities, and management teams.
• Ensures compliance with DENR, LRA, LGU, and other regulatory requirements.
• Manages survey schedules, manpower, equipment, and budget across multiple projects.
• Reviews project risks and challenges and recommends corrective actions.
• Leads and mentors survey personnel to improve competencies and productivity.
• Evaluates emerging surveying technologies and practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Monitors progress and submits reports to management.
• Ensures proper maintenance and calibration of survey instruments and equipment.
• Performs other duties and strategic initiatives as assigned by management.
