Utopia is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to own financial controlling across multiple entities and jurisdictions. You will build robust processes from the ground up, ensure accurate accounting operations, and manage timely reporting and controls across the business.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in accounting, financial control, or treasury including IFRS.
• Experience building financial controlling processes from the ground up.
• Deep technical knowledge of accounting principles beyond operational execution.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fast learner in dynamic, fast-paced, and often ambiguous environments.
• Able to manage external consultants and legal advisors effectively.
• Fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage accounting operations for several Utopia entities across different jurisdictions.
• Build financial controlling processes from scratch and refine them as the business grows.
• Design, implement, and continuously improve internal financial control procedures.
• Own monthly financial reporting across entities.
• Manage and support external audits end-to-end.
• Collaborate with the CEO and Head of Finance on finance-related matters.
• Manage external consultants and legal advisors to keep filings and controls on track.
