Qualifikationen

• Fully qualified accountant (CPA or equivalent) with several years’ post‑qualification experience owning management accounts and financial control.
• Strong working knowledge of UK and/or US GAAP.
• Experience mentoring a junior finance colleague while doing hands‑on production work.
• Practical adopter of AI tools to speed finance processes.
• Excellent English communication skills for non‑finance audiences.
• Proactive, ownership‑driven mindset in a fast‑moving scale‑up.

Aufgaben

• Prepare monthly management accounts end to end - journals, accruals and prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Deliver full P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting with variance analysis.
• Run the month‑end close timetable and meet deadlines consistently.
• Build and maintain a robust internal control framework across finance.
• Lead statutory accounts and liaison with external auditors.
• Ensure compliance with UK/US GAAP and international tax/regulatory requirements.
• Line‑manage and develop the Assistant Accountant, overseeing AP/AR payroll and expenses.
• Support budgeting and forecasting, plus board/investor reporting analyses.
• Explore AI tools to reduce manual reconciliations and reporting effort.
