Job summary

XP Power in the Philippines is seeking a Senior Failure Analysis Engineer to lead fault investigations, characterize failures, and drive corrective actions across power electronics systems. You will collaborate with engineering and support teams to troubleshoot complex issues and deliver detailed technical reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of AC-DC and DC-DC converter topologies (fly-back, forward, boost, buck, buck-boost).
• Experience with high voltage and firmware debugging is a plus.
• Experience with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) or test racks is desirable.
• Proficiency developing automated scripts (Python, LabVIEW) for instrument control and data logging.
• Understanding of analog, mixed-signal and power semiconductor devices.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Proactive and collaborative mindset in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform fault reproduction, troubleshooting, system characterization, and root cause analysis of product issues, while ensuring efficient bug tracking and resolution.
• Collaborate effectively with engineering and support teams to troubleshoot complex technical issues across systems.
• Deliver comprehensive technical reports detailing findings from product failure investigations.
• Participate in new product development during the qualification phase for training and ramp-up.
• Provide expert advice on corrective actions based on analysis results.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned.
• As a Senior Failure Analysis Engineer, demonstrate leadership and teamwork.
• Timely execution of deliverables and the ability to work under pressure are critical to success in this role.
