Job summary

Nexperia is seeking a seasoned Failure Analysis engineer in Laguna, Philippines. The role focuses on analyzing product failures, identifying root causes, and supportingQualifications, evaluations, and line rejects with data-driven insights.

You will coach FA operators, optimize FA techniques, and ensure safety, ESD, and chemical compliance in the lab while collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency and reduce cycle time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Chemical, Metallurgy, Chemistry, Physics, ECE, or EE).
• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in the semiconductor industry, with exposure to failure analysis, test, quality, reliability, process engineering, and package R&D.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience in failure analysis tools and techniques.
• Knowledge in electronic circuit analysis.
• Proficiency in basic statistics and quality tools: MSA, 8D, FMEA, SPC, DOE, QC tools.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform failure analysis on products to understand root causes of deviations from intended performance.
• Support material analysis/data collection during qualifications, evaluations, and line rejects.
• Manage laboratory resources for assigned tasks and ensure safety and compliance.
• Coach FA operators and technicians on analysis steps and reporting.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance failure analysis flow and reduce cycle time.
• Work with cross-functional teams to develop robust FA techniques for new products and packages.
