Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. in Laguna, Philippines seeks a Product Engineer to bridge design engineering and manufacturing operations for PSU products. You will ensure performance, quality, and delivery standards from development through production.

The role emphasizes characterization, calibration, testing, root-cause analysis, and design improvements, collaborating across cross-functional teams to optimize power supply designs and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in power electronics, including converter topologies, AC/DC circuitry, and magnetic component design.
• Proven hardware engineering experience and strong electrical engineering foundations in power supply design, testing and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment including oscilloscopes, programmable AC/DC power supplies, multimeters, power analyzers, and logic analyzers.

Responsibilities

• Product Characterization: Evaluate PSU performance across operating conditions.
• Calibration & Testing: Calibrate PSU and support test procedures development.
• Troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis: Identify and analyze failures in factory and field.
• Design Improvement and Modification: Work with design engineers to implement changes that improve reliability/performance.
• Technical Support: Provide guidance to internal teams and customers on power supply issues.
• Performing Hardware Testing: Conduct functional tests, signal characterization, power modeling, and system testing.
• Writing Test Reports: Document test results and conclusions.
• Analyzing Failure Data: Identify trends and drive improvements.
• Developing Mitigation Plans: Implement solutions to prevent future failures.
• Evaluating Alternative Components: Research replacements meeting specifications.
• Managing Change Requests: Review and approve changes to power supply designs.
