Job summary

XP Power in the Philippines is seeking a Senior Failure Analysis Engineer to lead fault investigations, characterize failures, and drive corrective actions across power electronics systems. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of AC-DC and DC-DC converter topologies (fly-back, forward, boost, buck, buck-boost).
• Experience with high voltage and firmware debugging is a plus.
• Experience with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) or test racks is desirable.
• Proficiency developing automated scripts (Python, LabVIEW) for instrument control and data logging.
• Understanding of analog, mixed-signal and power semiconductor devices.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Proactive and collaborative mindset in a fast-paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• In-depth knowledge of AC-DC and DC-DC power conversion circuit topologies, such as fly-back, forward, boost, buck, and buck-boost converters.
• Experience with high voltage and firmware debug is a strong plus.
• Background in designing and deploying Automated Test Equipment (ATE) or custom test racks to streamline repetitive failure verification and long-term reliability stress testing is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to develop automated scripts (Python, LabVIEW) for instrument control and data logging, improving test efficiency, reducing manual intervention, and increasing repeatability is a plus.
• Comprehensive understanding of analog, mixed-signal, and/or power semiconductor operational characteristics, with the ability to apply fault isolation techniques at both component and board levels.
• Proficiency in using lab equipment for characterization and design of power supplies and systems (oscilloscopes, DMMs, EMI analyzers, loads, sources, etc.).
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.]
