Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. Philippines is seeking a Technician IV for Equipment to ensure machines are set up, repaired and available for production.

You will update PM and calibration requirements and collaborate with operators to resolve quality issues on a range of assembly equipment. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 3+ years in assembly line sustaining work, with familiarity in Backgrind, Wafer Saw, DA, WB, molding, plating and packing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience as Assembly Line Sustaining Technician.
• Experience with QFN, TQFP and SOIC package assembly equipment.
• Knowledge of Backgrind, Wafer Saw, DA, WB, molded parts, plating, marking and packing.
• Familiar with TS16949 and HSPM quality systems.
• Familiar with failure analysis techniques.
• Ability to manage workload in a team environment.
• Proficient with MS Word and Excel; multitask with shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Comply with the company's quality policy and code of conduct or guiding values.
• Provide daily or shift report to Equipment Engineer.
• Machine setup and repair, monitor and ensure equipment is always operational for production use.
• Ensure PM and Calibration requirements are always updated.
• Collaborate with operators and engineering to resolve quality issues.
• Update downtime and uptime reports thru PPMS/R7/R8/R11 systems; participate in AM-PM and 5S programs.
• Maintain good housekeeping inside the production line.
• Performs other functions as may be assigned by immediate superior.
