Job summary

Code Metal is seeking an Engagement Manager to lead high-stakes customer engagements in defense-related tech. You will own end-to-end delivery, coordinate across customers, engineers, product managers, and Growth, and ensure on-time deployment while building trusted partnerships.

You will drive structured governance, manage complex multi-stakeholder deployments, and adapt to evolving requirements—while maintaining a calm, authoritative presence across all accounts.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience leading customer engagements, implementations, or deployments in technical, enterprise environments.
• Experience owning white-glove enterprise-delivery at elite firms or high-growth tech companies.
• Background in defense technology; familiarity with primes, Tier 1 suppliers, and defense procurement.
• Technically fluent with software/firmware/signal processing; able to translate complexity for non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to lead multi-stakeholder deployments and turn challenges into wins.
• Strong executive presence and communication for working teams and senior stakeholders.
• Highly organized; able to manage multiple accounts in a fast-moving environment.
• Current possession of a security clearance, or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end engagement delivery from pre-POC scoping to production deployment.
• Manage customer relationships at all levels and set expectations early, maintaining trust.
• Run structured governance with defined timelines, milestones, and cadence.
• Stabilize first-of-kind deployments by triaging issues with product and engineering.
• Flex across contract coordination, requirements clarification, and escalation management.
• Build repeatable playbooks to scale delivery capacity without sacrificing quality.
• Close the loop internally by surfacing friction to product/eng and aiding expansions.
