Job summary

SearchApi is seeking an Engineering Manager to own end-to-end delivery, surfacing risk early and guiding a small, high-output team. You will direct cadences, track every active project, and escalate when issues arise, leading through clear writing and sound decisions.

You are a Manager of One who cultivates other Managers of One. You’ll work with a lean, bootstrapped team delivering real products to real customers, with fully remote work and equity/benefit opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience shipping delivery improvements with measurable impact.
• Strong written communication and decision-making skills.
• Ability to lead through influence without micromanagement.

Responsibilities

• Run cadences: planning, standups, retros.
• Track state of active projects and surface risks early.
• Own delivery metrics: cycle time, latency, reliability; use metrics for action.
• Coordinate incident response and conduct blameless RCAs that drive changes.
• Grow the team through coaching, 1:1s, and building a hiring pipeline.
