Meralco PowerGen (MGEN) seeks an analytical Energy Trader to oversee 24/7 market trading, ensure platform compliance, and optimize energy transactions. You will leverage data-driven analysis and tools to evaluate market trends and maximize profitability.

Responsibilities include real-time trading across platforms, regulatory adherence to WESM/ERC rules, and developing models for risk and forecast accuracy. Collaboration with internal teams and external partners will be essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, or related field.
• Professional Engineering licensure (or equivalent for non-PRC regulated professions).

Responsibilities

• Manage real-time market inputs and submissions across multiple trading platforms.
• Coordinate with internal teams (Plant Operations, TSD, FMD) and external entities to optimize dispatch and operations.
• Monitor market conditions, price movements, and competitor activity to inform trading decisions.
• Develop and refine trading models, forecasts, and risk assessment methodologies.
