Job summary

Private Advertiser in Taguig seeks a senior WESM Trader to manage trading activities, market analysis, forecasting, compliance, and trading strategies to optimize energy procurement and market performance.

You will lead daily nominations, bids/offers, and market submissions; monitor prices, demand, supply, and positions; develop strategies and load forecasts; analyze settlements; and coordinate with internal teams and industry stakeholders onsite in Taguig.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Registered Electrical Engineer preferred.
• 3–5 years of WESM/energy trading experience.
• Strong knowledge of WESM operations, pricing, settlement, and compliance.
• Strong analytical and forecasting skills.
• Proficient in Excel; VBA, Python, Power BI or similar tools is an advantage.
• Able to work onsite in Taguig City.
