Job summary

MGen is seeking a Power and Market Systems Head in Manila to lead the development and maintenance of energy market models and simulations. You will guide price forecasting, dispatch modeling, and system operation scenarios while coordinating with cross‑functional teams.

You will oversee modeling platforms such as PLEXOS, ensure alignment with business objectives, and provide market insights for regulatory filings and strategic decisions in a dynamic energy landscape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or Economics.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in power market modeling, system operations, or analytics.
• Proficiency in market simulation tools such as PLEXOS and PSSE.
• Strong analytical, leadership, and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and maintenance of power market models and simulations.
• Oversee the use of platforms such as PLEXOS for energy modeling and optimization.
• Ensure models are current with software releases and capabilities of modeling platforms.
• Serve as the administrator for modeling environments, including cloud infrastructure.
• Oversee technical grid studies, including reliability and transmission planning.
• Provide technical insights to support strategy, regulatory filings, and risk assessments.
• Coordinate with IT and data teams to ensure data integrity and reproducibility.
