Job summary

Manulife/John Hancock in the Philippines seeks an Employee Relations Consultant to advise leaders on disciplinary matters, support complex ER projects, and promote compliant HR practices. The role emphasizes autonomy and cross-functional collaboration across HR, Legal, and business units.

You will monitor ER metrics, mentor junior staff, and help shape policies that reduce liabilities while fostering a productive work environment. Hybrid work arrangement available.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of in-depth experience in Philippine Employee Relations, Labor Relations or Industrial Relations in the insurance, BPO or Finance industry.
• Bachelor’s degree preferably Political Science, Legal Management or other courses in the field of Law.
• Skilled in managing conflict among employees through mediation or negotiations as well as facilitating arbitration.
• Working knowledge on PH labor laws related termination process.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth, timely and effective resolution of employee relations issues by investigating complaints and concerns; advise and guide management.
• Consult, counsel and train management on performance management and progressive discipline issues; develop coaching sessions on ER.
• Lead complex ER projects with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders.
• Design communications related to employee policies and programs and ensure policy compliance.
• Monitor ER case management data in Salesforce and identify trends for policy improvements.
