Job summary

Tarino in the Philippines is seeking an experienced estimator to own the full take-off and estimating process for cable containment systems on large, technically complex projects such as data centres and hospitals. You will interpret drawings, schedules and specifications to produce accurate, quote-ready bills of materials, traced to company codes.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years' experience in electrical, MEP or cable-containment estimating.
• Experience working on data centres, hospitals, industrial facilities or other technically complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of cable tray, cable ladder, wire basket and containment support systems.
• Ability to interpret electrical plans, sections, schematics, schedules and specifications.
• Experience reconciling conflicting information across multiple project documents.
• Strong digital take-off and drawing mark-up capabilities, with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Proficiency with digital take-off platforms such as ProEst, Bluebeam, CostX, Cubit or PlanSwift.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit or Navisworks is highly regarded.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Complete detailed take-offs for large and technically complex projects, including data centres, hospitals and industrial facilities.
• Measure cable tray, cable ladder, wire basket and associated containment systems.
• Identify straight lengths, bends, tees, crosses, reducers, risers, covers, dividers, splice plates and accessories.
• Calculate trapeze supports, cantilever supports, threaded rod, fixings and associated hardware.
• Separate systems by type, width, finish, floor, zone and fire rating requirement.
• Reconcile contractor schedules against drawings and specifications.
• Identify discrepancies, duplicated quantities, missing items and scope gaps.
• Review drawing addenda and maintain accurate revision control.
• Produce clearly marked-up drawings so every quantity can be independently verified.
• Prepare quote-ready bills of materials in line with company product codes and estimating standards.
• Maintain comprehensive assumptions, exclusions and clarification registers.
• Liaise with estimating, sales and technical teams to resolve queries and finalise quotations.
