Job summary

MicroSourcing is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator for industrial and municipal construction projects. The role is hybrid with a night shift in the Philippines and requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

You will review drawings and specifications, prepare material takeoffs, develop labour estimates, identify inconsistencies, compile estimating packages, and support bid revisions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in electrical estimating or related field.
• Ability to interpret drawings, schedules and specs.
• Experience in quantity takeoffs and preliminary labour estimates.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu, PlanSwift and Excel.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods and installation practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications and tender docs to understand project scope.
• Prepare material quantity takeoffs for industrial and municipal projects.
• Develop preliminary labour-hour estimates for installation activities.
• Identify inconsistencies and prepare RFIs or clarifications.
• Compile organized estimating packages for Senior Estimator review.
• Maintain estimating databases, cost information, and documentation.
• Assist with bid revisions, addenda reviews, and scope updates.
• Use estimating software and Excel for takeoffs and process improvements.
