Job summary

Sourcefit Philippines, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to support commercial security and low-voltage project estimates across the United States. The role requires interpreting plans, selecting materials, and assembling takeoffs with high numerical accuracy.

You will review drawings, identify scope gaps, determine quantities, and build preliminary estimates while adhering to company estimating standards. Remote work is available with a Monday–Friday schedule aligned to Central Time.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction estimating and the ability to read and interpret architectural and electrical drawings.
• Experience performing construction takeoffs and preparing project estimates.
• Strong understanding of construction plans and documentation.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Ability to identify missing information and make logical estimating decisions based on available plans.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently after training.
• Comfortable working in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Review architectural, electrical, and construction plans and specifications to understand project scope and requirements.
• Perform detailed material and equipment takeoffs from project plans.
• Identify scope related to security cameras / CCTV, access control systems, low-voltage wiring and infrastructure, structured cabling, and related security equipment.
• Determine appropriate materials, equipment, and quantities based on project plans and company estimating standards.
• Build preliminary project estimates based on completed takeoffs.
• Research and incorporate material costs, equipment requirements, and applicable pricing.
• Review plans to identify camera locations, building entrances, exits, and other areas requiring security coverage.
• Identify access-control requirements, door locations, and associated equipment.
• Review estimates for completeness, accuracy, and potential scope gaps.
• Perform a final quality-control review before estimates are submitted.
• Communicate with the estimating and project teams regarding questions, discrepancies, and plan details that require clarification.
• Follow established company estimating procedures, standards, and pricing parameters.
• Continuously improve estimating accuracy and efficiency as familiarity with company systems, processes, and pricing increases.
