Job summary

ContiTech seeks a Senior EDI Consultant to lead global EDI operations within our banking-related processes. You will manage data mapping, SAP EDI configurations, and cross-functional coordination to ensure compliant, efficient data exchange across locations.

You will analyze processes, optimize workflows, mentor junior staff, and drive standardization with a focus on security and performance. Hybrid work setup and international collaboration are included.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in EDI operations or equivalent domain
• Advanced proficiency in EDI standards/protocols (X12, EDIFACT)
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on SAP EDI implementation/administration
• Strong analytical/problem-solving abilities to translate challenges into solutions
• Experience with process mapping, workflow optimization, and reengineering
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across levels
• University degree in a technical or economical discipline
• Advanced English proficiency and MS Office 365 skills
• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time

Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize EDI operations to improve efficiency and reduce costs
• Design, implement, and oversee EDI workflow improvements ensuring regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with IT, operations, and business units to close process gaps
• Manage EDI configurations, data mapping, and integration protocols
• Create and maintain detailed process docs and technical specifications
• Monitor performance metrics and provide insights to senior stakeholders
• Lead process improvement initiatives using best practices
• Provide expert EDI guidance to internal teams and partners
• Mentor junior staff to uphold operational excellence
• Ensure data security, compliance, and quality across EDI operations
• Establish and manage EDI connections with external partners
• Conduct requirements analysis and implement partner-based improvements
• Execute testing to validate EDI connections
• Coordinate EDI incidents with partners and external AMS/IT providers
• Manage EDI changes via internal change control processes
• Maintain global EDI communications via mailbox systems
• Engage across organizational levels with customers, banks, carriers, and vendors
• Support SAP Rollout Projects for EDI module
• Develop training materials and conduct end-user training
• Test fixes, upgrades, and new functionalities
• Maintain SPEEDI/JUNIQ add-ons within ERP systems
