Job summary

Advanced Energy is seeking a Senior Buyer – Direct Commodity to procure direct materials (PCB components, heatsinks, bobbins, magnetic cores, connectors and cables) for testing boards and fixtures. You will translate requisitions into purchase orders and lead RFQ/RFP processes with supplier negotiations.

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you will drive supplier development, monitor KPI performance (quality, delivery, cost), and ensure compliance with corporate policies and P2P processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Minimum 5 years indirect procurement experience
• Experience in electronics manufacturing supply chain
• Proficient with procurement systems and P2P processes

Responsibilities

• Source and develop new suppliers for direct materials (PCB components, heatsinks, bobbins, cores, connectors, cables)
• RFQ / RFP, cost analysis and price negotiation
• Convert requisitions into purchase orders with accuracy
• Coordinate delivery and expedition with suppliers
• Support urgent requests outside the normal planning cycle
• Coordinate with AP and users to resolve variances
• Manage returns or RMAs for faulty products
• Assist new supplier onboarding and maintain supplier data
