Job summary

Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. is seeking a Senior Buyer – Indirect Commodity to procure goods and services that support indirect spend across its global regions. The role reports to the Manager of Purchasing and emphasizes performance metrics in Quality, Delivery, and Cost.

The successful candidate will source and develop suppliers, manage RFQ/RFP processes, and ensure accurate PO issuance while collaborating with cross-functional teams. The position is based onsite in Sta.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business administration or related field.
• 5+ years managing indirect categories in a senior buyer role.
• Experience in electronics manufacturing or high-growth electronics business is preferred.
• Proactive problem solver with strong planning and communication skills.
• Proficient with SAP/Ariba/Oracle and P2P processes.

Responsibilities

• Source and develop new suppliers to support capacity and revenue growth.
• Conduct RFQ/RFP, cost analysis and price negotiation.
• Convert requisitions to formal Purchase Orders with pricing validation.
• Track delivery, expedite with suppliers and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with urgent requests outside the planning cycle.
• Collaborate with AP and end users to resolve invoice/PO variances.
• Manage returns or RMAs for faulty products.
• Onboard new suppliers and maintain supplier data in system.
• Update lead times in the system.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to meet requirements.

Job Summary

The Senior Buyer – Indirect Commodityis responsible for procurement of goods and services that ensure continuity of indirect spend supplies enabling Advanced Energy’s various business groups to operate efficiently, support internal requirements, corporate cost objectives, and enables cost effective solutions for indirect spending in local or global regions. Responsible for oversight on performance metrics related to Quality, Delivery, and Cost.

This position will report to Manager, Purchasing.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactive new supplier sourcing and development to cope with company capacity & revenue growth.
• Responsible for RFQ / RFP, cost analysis and price negotiation.
• Transform internal requisitions into formal Purchase Order by accuracy check requisition details and pricing validation.
• Delivery confirmation and expedition with suppliers.
• Support and handle urgent / emergency requests that fall outside of the normal planning cycle.
• Work with account payable team, end users and supplier to resolve supplier invoice or PO variances or discrepancies of delivered goods or services.
• Manage returns or RMAs for faulty products.
• Assist new supplier onboard process or maintain accurate supplier information in system.
• Update correct lead-time of goods in system (if applicable).
• Partner with internal stakeholders but not limited to Operations, HR, Finance, IT, EHS) to understand their requirements and provide procurement expertise.
• Work with Commodity Management or Sourcing Teams to evaluate supplier performance through defined KPI and conduct regular business reviews to drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure all purchasing activities align with corporate policies and internal audit requirements.
• Support / responsible for global AE manufacturing factories, design and global service centers if necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Adminstration, Finance or related fields.
• Proactive problem solver with strong planning orientation.
• Capability to respond quickly, decisively, assertively and professionally to changing requirements.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficient with SAP or Ariba or Oracle.
• Excellent PC skills including Excel, Word, MS Standard Office.
• Proven record of at least 5 years on managing a diverse portfolio of Indirect Categories at senior buyer position.
• Experience in supply chain management in an electronics manufacturing environment.
• Supporting Procure to Pay process including PO issuance and supplier shipment.
• Experience in a very high growth rate electronic business is preferred.
• Willing to be assigned to a full-time, onsite position at either the Sta. Rosa, Laguna or Rosario, Cavite site.
