Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior Data DevOps to implement and support key aspects of our data platform, including infrastructure changes, monitoring, automation and self-healing, and access management. You will collaborate with Architecture teams and the SRE group to align platform design with standards and ensure high performance for data workloads.

You will leverage Terraform and Azure DevOps across multiple environments, work with Data Lake Storage, Databricks, and Synapse Analytics, and

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Terraform and Azure DevOps pipelines across multiple subscriptions and environments.
• Experience with Azure data solutions: Data Lake Storage, Databricks, Azure Data Factory.
• Knowledge of Synapse Analytics for performance improvements and troubleshooting.
• Strong communication with multiple stakeholders.
• Collaborates with Architecture teams on platform design standards.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Responsibilities

• Implement and support infrastructure changes across the data platform
• Establish monitoring and end-to-end tracking mechanisms
• Develop automation and self-healing solutions to streamline platform operations
• Perform anomaly detection, event correlation, and analysis
• Conduct performance analysis on data workloads
• Manage access permissions across environments
• Collaborate with Architecture teams to ensure platform design aligns with standards
• Work with the SRE team to support the platform
• Optimize data platform activities, support processes, and automate administrative activities, infrastructure, and application deployments
• Communicate with multiple stakeholders to align on platform requirements and priorities
• Troubleshoot and prevent issues related to data workloads performance
