Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Lead Data DevOps to drive the reliability and evolution of the Azure data platform through automation and monitoring. You will implement infrastructure updates, build self-healing capabilities, and partner with Architecture and SRE on performance and access controls across environments.

You will collaborate with multinational teams on ambitious data projects, delivering scalable solutions and ensuring robust data workloads performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Terraform and Azure DevOps in multiple subscriptions and environments.
• Proficiency with Azure data solutions such as Data Lake Storage, Databricks, and ADF.
• Experience with Synapse Analytics for performance improvements, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Strong ability to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and maintain infrastructure changes across the data platform.
• Set up monitoring and end-to-end tracking mechanisms.
• Build automation and self-healing solutions to streamline platform operations.
• Execute anomaly detection, event correlation, and analysis.
• Run performance analysis on data workloads.
• Administer access permissions across environments.
• Partner with Architecture teams to ensure platform design aligns with standards.
• Coordinate with the SRE team to support the platform.
• Improve data platform activities, support processes, and automate administrative tasks.
• Align with stakeholders on platform requirements and priorities.
• Diagnose and prevent issues related to data workloads performance.
