Qualifications

Extensive 8+ years experience in an Australian 2nd-tier lender (Pepper, Liberty, or La Trobe).
Proven high Delegated Lending Authority (DLA) and leadership of a credit team.
Expertise in analyzing complex financial structures for self-employed borrowers, including tax returns and add-backs.
Strategic thinking to identify lending pathways for high-net-worth clients.

Responsibilities

Technical Decision Making: act as the ultimate authority for complex self-employed scenarios and provide definitive quotes.
Senior Leadership: manage a high-caliber team and provide mentorship and final sign-off for the most complex files.
Credit Oversight: oversee all credit lodgements to ensure accuracy and high approval rates.
Lender Relationship Management: liaise with BDMs and senior assessors at 2nd-tier Australian lenders to overturn declines and negotiate conditions.
SLA Governance: ensure the credit team adheres to SLAs and maintains speed and reliability.
