Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification
- Minimum 5 years of specialized conflicts management experience within a law firm, professional services organization, financial institution, or other regulated environment
- Strong expertise in conflicts rules, professional conduct standards, regulatory requirements, and conflicts-related policies
- Proven ability to evaluate complex conflicts, exercise sound professional judgment, and deliver practical, risk-based recommendations
- Hands-on experience conducting conflicts assessments, analyzing findings, identifying potential risks, and determining appropriate resolution or escalation
- Strong analytical, research, critical-thinking, and problem-solving capabilities with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence advising senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Proven relationship management and service-oriented skills across international or multi-jurisdictional environments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience with Intapp or comparable conflicts/client onboarding platforms is highly desirable
- Previous exposure to international professional services or similarly regulated environments is advantageous
Responsibilities
- Conduct conflict checks for new clients and matters to identify potential legal and commercial conflicts of interest
- Review and analyze conflict reports to ensure all relevant information is gathered, verified, and accurately assessedli>
- Evaluate potential conflicts of interest, recommend appropriate resolutions, and elevate complex matters when necessary
- Serve as the primary point of contact for conflicts-related inquiries by providing guidance to lawyers, partners, and business stakeholders
- Gather and validate information required to complete conflict assessments
- Draft conflicts and confidentiality waivers, along with other related documentation
- Maintain accurate records of conflict searches, approvals, and decisions to support compliance and audit requirements
- Ensure conflicts processes comply with firm policies, procedures, professional standards, and regulatory requirements
- Support partners, fee earners, and business teams across multiple jurisdictions with conflicts management activities
- Build collaborative relationships with stakeholders to promote consistent and timely decision-making
