Job summary

Qualifications

• Some relevant work experience.
• Preferred: Basic claims knowledge and understanding of insurance.
• Tertiary education required.

Responsibilities

• Provide claims customer service by answering inbound calls and escalating issues.
• Handle claims by gathering information, mailing items, documenting files, and tracking progress.
• Process and balance check registries, follow procedures, and identify process improvements.
• Communicate claim status to claimants, insureds, vendors, and internal teams.
• Maintain a claim payment register balanced with the claims system.
• Access, review, and authorize claim bank accounts for accuracy.
• Develop claims support skills through peer guidance and cross-training.
• Obtain insurance information for clients via outbound calls and data entry.
• Build knowledge to support clients in secondary areas with accurate responses.
• Maintain process knowledge and provide peer-reviewed feedback to managers.
• Identify risks in change implementation and support UAT aligned outcomes.
• Assist in training requirements for projects by contributing to training plans.
