About the role

This role involves developing clear functional specifications based on comprehensive understanding of business requirements, building broad technical knowledge to support a variety of projects and initiatives, and developing competent technical working knowledge of processes, capabilities and applications of the business unit.

Key responsibilities

• Develop clear functional requirements specifications based on business requirements
• Identify gaps in business requirements and follow up with end-users
• Develop deeper understanding of business processes, business organization, and expected business outcomes
• Conduct fit-gap analysis on products and develop reasonable working alternatives
• Create and maintain requirements traceability matrix
• Discuss functional requirements specifications from both business and developer perspectives
• Ensure good understanding of the business unit's operations and strategic direction
• Provide timely and proactive escalation of risks and issues
• Build trust and collaborative relationships with business leads and their delegates
• Take full accountability for the quality of functional specifications

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
• 10 or more years of combined professional IT experience in any discipline
• 5 or more years of experience driving business requirements for Enterprise-scale or business-wide implementation projects
• Experienced in collaborating and interacting with business and IT leaders
• Experienced in handling vendor and third-party engagements
• Knowledge of retail banking (preferably), or broadly in Banking and Financial Services
• Minimum foundational knowledge of relevant technology domains such as cloud computing, SaaS models, object-oriented programming languages, IT security, infrastructure and networks
• Knowledgeable and adaptable in service delivery methodologies
• Competent working knowledge of banking and financial services
