Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in business analytics, operational analytics, strategic finance, practice management, revenue operations, performance analysis, or related field.
• Demonstrated experience investigating business issues, identifying root causes, and translating findings into actionable insights.
• Hands-on mindset with the ability to work through complex questions and perform underlying analysis.
• Experience handling large, complex datasets from multiple systems to answer business questions.

Job description

The Senior BusinessAnalyst serves as a business-facing individual contributor focused on helping practice leaders understand, diagnose, and improve business performance. This role combines financial analysis, operational analysis, and data investigation toidentifythe underlying drivers of business results.

The individual will work directly with practice leaders to investigate operational and financial trends,validateassumptions, uncover root causes, and translate complex data into actionable business insights. The role requires someone who is comfortable working with raw, imperfect, and evolving data across multiple systems and platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner directly with practice leaders to investigate operational and financial business issues andidentifythe underlying drivers of performance.
• Analyze performance across service lines, service groups, clients, projects, markets, geographies, relationship executives, and other business dimensions.
• Conduct root-cause analysisonchanges in revenue, production,utilization, realization, profitability, pipeline activity, and other key business metrics.
• Work across multiple systems and data sources to develop a complete view of business performance.
• Validate, reconcile, and interpret data from disparate sources whileidentifyingdata quality and consistency issues.
• Investigate leadership questions and business hypotheses using data tovalidate, challenge, or refine assumptions.
• Develop trend analyses, variance analyses, and business performance narratives that explain what changed, why it changed, and what action may be needed.
• Translate complex findings into clear, actionable insights for business leaders.
• Partner with finance, operations, data, and technology teams to improve data quality, reporting accuracy, and business visibility.
• Leverage AI, automation, and analytics tools to improve efficiency and insight generation.

Qualifications and requirements

• Required Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in business analytics, operational analytics, strategic finance, practice management, revenue operations, performance analysis, orrelatedfield.
• Demonstrated experience investigating business issues,identifyingroot causes, and translating findings into actionable business insights.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a hands-on environment by personally working through complex business questions and performing the underlying analysis.
• Experience working with large, complex, disparate, and imperfect datasets from multiple systems and sources to answer business questions and diagnose operational issues.
• Experience analyzing business performance metrics such as profitability,utilization, realization, revenue trends, client/project economics, capacity, pipeline, or other operational performance drivers.
• Experience supporting business leaders, practice leaders, operations leaders, or leadership teams through performance analysis and decision support.
