ZigZag Philippines is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to lead the APAC product analytics and business analysis function. You will bridge business needs and technology, translating requirements into clear specs for engineers and shaping the roadmap with data-driven insights.

This role demands fintech knowledge, hands-on data reporting with Looker, Tableau, and SQL, and the ability to collaborate across commercial, product, and engineering teams in a global context.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in a Business Analyst role within financial services/payments.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and technical detail into business insight.
• Academic qualifications in Computing, Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, or related discipline.
• Experience writing clear requirements, user stories, and functional specifications with engineering teams.
• Hands-on experience with data reporting tools such as Looker, Tableau, SQL.
• Structured approach to technical and financial problems with ownership of projects.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary link between commercial, operational, and technical teams, ensuring business goals are understood by engineering and realities understood by business.
• Elicit, analyse, and document business requirements, translating them into clear functional and technical specs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Map and model current and future-state processes, data flows, and system interactions to expose gaps and opportunities.
• Translate technical concepts into plain business language to enable informed decisions.
• Facilitate alignment between stakeholders and engineers, resolving ambiguity and maintaining shared scope and priorities.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Business Analyst team within Product and mentor analysts.
