Job summary

ZigZag Offshoring is seeking a Business Analyst to join our APAC team to enhance BA capability within Product. You will focus on improving, defining, and growing our digital payments product capability for customers, collaborating across disciplines.

You will lead cross-functional analysis across technical, financial, commercial, and social topics, drawing on primary and secondary sources to improve operational effectiveness of our products and services.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a Business Analyst or similar analytical role.
• Academic qualifications in Computing, Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, or related discipline.
• Demonstrated understanding across technologies, payment methods, and business models.
• Experience with financial products, payments, and digital business models.
• Hands-on with data reporting tools such as Looker, Tableau, SQL, and related applications.

ZigZag is looking for a Business Analyst to join our team!

We’re looking for a Business Analyst to join our APAC team to build out BA Business Analyst capability within Product. You will focus on improving, defining, and growing our product capability in the digital payments space for our customers. This is a role for someone who knows digital payments, is flexible, builds knowledge within teams, and works comfortably across multiple disciplines. You will lead analysis across technical, financial, commercial, economic, and social topics, drawing on both primary (direct) and secondary (desktop) sources to improve the operational effectiveness of our products and services.

Key Responsibilities

Insight & Analysis

• Build and maintain the product team’s knowledge of key aspects of our products and services, technologies, social trends, economic conditions, regulations, and digital payments.
• Lead analysis across technical, financial, commercial, economic, and social topics, using both primary and secondary research sources.
• Champion data-driven decision‑making, building the metrics, reporting, and visualisations the product team relies on.

Problem Solving & Delivery

• Identify challenges, blockers, and issues affecting operational effectiveness, and work with product managers to define, assess, document, and execute solutions.
• Take ownership of analysis projects end-to-end, applying a structured approach to technical and financial problems.
• Produce clear, high‑quality artefacts and recommendations that inform product and commercial decisions.

Cross‑Functional Partnership

• Work closely with product, engineering, finance, marketing and sales teams to improve existing products and services.
• Support product managers and finance with pricing analysis.
• Help sales teams understand and assess the most suitable data points for their customers.

Skills & Experience

Essential

• 5+ years’ experience in a similar Business Analyst or technical analytical role.
• Academic qualifications in a relevant field, preferably Computing, Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated understanding across a range of technologies, payment methods, business models, and customer problems.
• Experience working with financial products, payments, and digital business models.
• Hands‑on experience with data reporting tools such as Looker, Tableau, SQL, and related applications.
• A structured approach to technical and financial problems, with the ability to take ownership and run projects effectively.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds in a global environment.

Desirable

• Experience in python, wireframes, working with API products.
• Familiarity with the APAC payments landscape and regional regulatory requirements.
• Exposure to experimentation, A/B testing.
• A high level of analytical expertise and a passion for metrics, reporting, and visualisation.
• Curiosity and a structured, ownership-driven approach to ambiguous problems.
• Strong communication skills, able to translate complex analysis for technical and non‑technical audiences alike.
• A collaborative, knowledge‑sharing mindset that lifts the teams around you.
