Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd in Makati is seeking a seasoned Business Analyst to analyze business processes, translate needs into specifications, and coordinate with IT, operations, finance, and management to drive project delivery.

You will conduct data analysis, develop process models and reports, perform gap analysis, support UAT, and monitor progress with stakeholders in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related IT field.
• 8 years minimum IT Business Analyst and Project Management experience.
• 5–10 years IT BA experience with Banking Experience.
• Exposure to AI development projects.
• Senior ITBA with knowledge in Payment Modernization & Payment Hub systems (Bills Pay, Real-Time Payments, P2P, P2B, B2B, etc.)
• Strong analytical thinking, detailed documentation, and good communication; adaptable to dynamic priorities.
• Proficient in both Agile/Hybrid and Waterfall methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Requirements gathering & documentation: Define business requirements, user stories, and functional specs.
• System analysis & design: Evaluate IT processes to identify inefficiencies and propose improvements.
• Bridge communication: Liaise between business units and IT teams.
• Project support: Assist with plans, scheduling, and ensuring tech solutions align with business strategy.
• Testing & implementation: Support UAT, train users, and oversee deployment.
• Data analysis & reporting: Use data to analyze operations and performance.

Job Summary: Business Analyst

• Analyze business processes, systems, and workflows to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
• Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications for development teams.
• Conduct data analysis to support strategic decision-making and performance improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, operations, finance, and management to ensure successful project delivery.
• Develop process models, business cases, and reports to support project proposals and organizational goals.
• Perform gap analysis to identify discrepancies between current and desired system states.
• Support testing activities, including user acceptance testing (UAT), to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
• Monitor project progress and communicate updates, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders.

Business Analyst Job Responsibilities:

• Requirements Gathering & Documentation: Collaborating with stakeholders to define and document business requirements, user stories, and functional specifications.

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related IT course.
• 8 years minimum actual IT Business Analyst and Project Management experience
• Or at least 5-10 actual IT Business Analyst experience with Banking Experience
• Has an exposure in AI Development Projects
• Senior ITBA with skills and experience on both technical and business domain/knowledge (but not limited to) on Payment Modernization and Payment Hub systems (Bills Pay, Real-Time Payments, P2P, P2B, B2B, etc.)
• Good analytical thinking (strong process mapping and analysis skills), excellent attention to details and documentation skills, good communication skills and adaptable/flexible (comfortable working in dynamic environments with changing priorities).
• Adept on both Agile/Hybrid & Waterfall methodologies.
