Job summary

Hunt St Pty Ltd is seeking a Philippines-based Senior Bookkeeper for an independent contractor engagement. You will manage day-to-day bookkeeping across related entities, with strong Australian bookkeeping knowledge and hands-on Xero experience, including reconciliations, payroll, GST/BAS, and inter-company transactions.

You will maintain accurate financial records, monitor cash flow, and prepare batches for review by the external accountant.

Qualifications

• Strong Australian bookkeeping experience with 5+ years.
• Experience coordinating across multiple entities or related groups.
• Proficient in GST, BAS, PAYG withholding, and superannuation processes.

Responsibilities

• Weekly bank reconciliations across active entities.
• Process supplier bills and prepare payment batches for approval.
• Prepare and issue customer invoices from sales information.
• Maintain accounts payable and receivable.
• Process payroll and keep payroll records up to date.
• Update cash flow forecast and payment schedule.
• Prepare monthly intercompany journals as required.
• Check intercompany loan accounts for balance accuracy.
• Keep GST, PAYG and super liabilities easy to review.
• Prepare Xero files so BAS and tax work can be reviewed properly.
