Job summary

Hunt St Pty Ltd is seeking Philippines-based Senior Bookkeeper candidates to work remotely on Australian client engagements as independent contractors. The role focuses on accurate bookkeeping, data entry, payroll, BAS/IAS, and financial statements for multiple entities, with collaboration aligned to AU business hours.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of Australian bookkeeping experience, advanced Xero skills, and proficiency with Dext, Karbon, XPM, Word and Excel.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ Australian bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Advanced skills with Xero.
• Experience with Dext, Karbon and XPM.
• Intermediate Word and Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Accurately reconcile all transactions daily/weekly/monthly in Xero for multiple entities.
• Processing invoices in Dext.
• Payroll preparation including Superannuation for multiple entities weekly.
• Prepare BAS/IAS and monthly IAS.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with statutory deadlines and submission of returns for clients.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts with external records (e.g., ATO integrated client accounts, super and payroll tax).
• Prepare a fully reconciled Trial Balance.
• Prepare Adjustment Journals.
• Invoicing of client statements and receivables.
• Inform Manager of any issues with accounts.
• Maintain a supportive and effective team culture.
• Uphold and promote the firm’s value and ethics.
