Job summary

Smartsourcing invites a reliable Senior Bookkeeper to join our Cebu-based finance team. This full-time, onsite role focuses on payroll processing, accounts payable and receivable management, invoicing, and maintaining accurate financial records.

You will support month-end processes, ensure compliance, and drive clean ledgers while collaborating with onshore stakeholders. Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years’ local payroll/AP/AR experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Management Accounting, Commerce, or a related field preferred.
• At least 4 years of experience in local payroll processing, AP and AR required.
• Experience in bookkeeping, ledger maintenance, invoicing and reconciliations expected.
• AU payroll and bookkeeping exposure is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end payroll accurately and on schedule, including pay runs, adjustments, deductions, and related transactions.
• Maintain up-to-date AP and AR ledgers; check invoices and payments for accuracy.
• Prepare, issue, and record invoices within agreed timelines and resolve billing queries.
• Maintain complete, accurate financial records and support month-end processes and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy and internal procedures; escalate complex issues when needed.
• Support accuracy of journal entries, general ledger postings, and reconciliations.
