Job summary

Elevate and Delegate is seeking a meticulous bookkeeper to take ownership of day-to-day accounting tasks for a US-based client. You will maintain accurate records in QuickBooks Online, reconcile transactions, manage Shopify-related entries, and handle inventory bookkeeping while staying ahead of deadlines.

The ideal candidate communicates clearly in English, works independently, and shows strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

Several years of professional bookkeeping/accounting experience.
Proven experience managing books for a US or Western company.
Strong experience with QuickBooks Online and Shopify bookkeeping.
Experience with reconciliations, transaction categorization, and inventory bookkeeping.
Excellent English communication skills with strong attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and reliably.

Responsibilities

Take full ownership of day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting tasks.
Bring books up to date and maintain accurate records going forward.
Manage bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online.
Reconcile credit card and other financial accounts; identify discrepancies.
Work with Shopify and reflect Shopify transactions in the books.
Assist with inventory-related bookkeeping and reconciliation.
Monitor financial records and ensure proper categorization of transactions.
Assist with sales tax calculations, filings, and remittance where applicable.
Help prepare accurate financial information ahead of tax deadlines.
Identify issues proactively and recommend solutions; maintain organized documentation.
Communicate financial information clearly and escalate issues when needed.
