- Review account balances for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean chart of accounts and ensure proper use of classes, locations, and tags (if applicable).
Preparation of US Taxes
- Support US tax filings, including monthly reconciliations, clean general ledger coding, and organized documentation for all income, expenses, and balance sheet accounts.
- Coordinate and compile all tax‑ready reporting packages for review and filing, including annual financial statements, detailed general ledger exports, and supporting schedules for key accounts.
- Prepare partnership tax support schedules, including tracking owner capital accounts and distributions, and compiling the information needed to produce accurate Schedule K‑1s (and related workpapers) for partners/members.
Month‑End Close & Reporting
- Work in tandem with leadership on monthly bookkeeping and close processes.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow (as needed).
- Support basic variance analysis and flag unusual transactions or trends.
- Assist with accruals, prepaid expenses, and month‑end adjustments (as applicable).
Communication & Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with leadership and respond quickly to bookkeeping questions or clarifications.
- Communicate clearly about what’s needed, what’s missing, and what’s completed.
- Maintain a structured process for documentation, receipts, and transaction notes to keep bookkeeping organized and audit‑ready.
